Ensure Your Student Appears in the Yearbook

2 min read Updated August 2026

One of the most common questions we receive each year is, "Will my child's photo be in the yearbook?" Fortunately, there are a few simple ways to confirm everything is on track before the yearbook is printed.

Check Your Student's Portrait Online

The first step is to verify that your student's portrait appears on the Iron City Studios website. If you can view your student's portrait in their online gallery, we have successfully photographed and identified them.

If you cannot locate your student's portrait, please contact Iron City Studios as soon as possible so we can investigate before yearbook deadlines.

Contact Your School's Yearbook Advisor

Once Iron City Studios delivers the yearbook image files to your school, the yearbook staff is responsible for placing those images into the yearbook layout.

Your school's yearbook advisor has access to the yearbook proofs and should be able to confirm that your student's portrait has been placed correctly before the yearbook is sent to print.

If your student's portrait appears correctly in our online gallery but is missing from the yearbook, your yearbook advisor is the best person to contact first.

Don't Wait Until the Yearbook Is Printed

The earlier a concern is identified, the easier it is to correct. We encourage families to verify their student's portrait well before yearbook deadlines whenever possible.

If your student's portrait is missing from our website, please contact Iron City Studios so we can investigate. If the portrait appears on our website but not in the yearbook, your school's yearbook advisor can help determine whether the image was included in the yearbook layout.
