Our team photographs each graduate as they cross the stage and, at most ceremonies, captures an additional portrait immediately after the graduate exits the stage. These images provide families with lasting keepsakes from an unforgettable day.
Because Graduation Is a Live Event
Unlike a studio portrait session, graduation happens in real time.
Graduates are continuously moving, names are being announced, and the ceremony must continue without stopping. Our photographers work quickly and carefully to capture each graduate while helping the event proceed smoothly.
We make every effort to create the best images possible. However, because graduation is a fast-moving live event, an individual photograph can occasionally be affected by circumstances outside the photographer’s control.
These may include:
- A graduate blinking
- A tassel moving across the face
- A diploma or program briefly covering part of the face
- A graduate looking away from the camera
- A handshake or hug happening more quickly than expected
- Another person briefly entering the camera’s view
These moments are a natural part of photographing a live ceremony, and we appreciate your understanding.

Our photographers are experienced in covering commencement ceremonies and are committed to documenting each graduate as they celebrate this important achievement.
We use professional equipment, carefully selected photographer positions, and planned workflows to provide the strongest possible coverage throughout the ceremony.
While no live event is completely predictable, our team prepares carefully and works quickly to capture each moment without disrupting the flow of graduation.
Photos Are Available Quickly
We know families are excited to relive graduation day.
In most cases, graduation galleries are available online within a few hours after the ceremony concludes. This allows families to begin viewing and ordering photographs while the excitement of the day is still fresh.
Gallery timing can occasionally vary depending on the size of the ceremony, internet availability, and processing requirements.
Finding Your Graduate Is Easy
Our graduation galleries use facial recognition technology to help you quickly locate images of your graduate.
Simply follow the instructions inside the gallery and upload a clear reference photo. The gallery will search for images that may include your student, saving you from scrolling through every photograph from the ceremony.
Because facial recognition is a search tool, we still recommend reviewing the gallery in case an image is not automatically identified.

Q: How do I find photos of my graduate? A: Follow the facial recognition instructions inside the gallery. You can upload a clear reference image, and the system will search for photographs that may include your graduate.
Q: What if facial recognition does not find every photo? A: Facial recognition is a helpful search tool, but it may not identify every image. We recommend browsing the gallery as well, especially if your graduate’s face is partially turned or covered in a photograph.
Q: Can every graduation photograph be guaranteed? A: We make every reasonable effort to photograph each graduate. Because commencement is a live, continuously moving event, individual images can occasionally be affected by blinking, movement, blocked views, tassels, diplomas, or other unexpected moments.
PHOTOGRAPHER TIP
For the best facial recognition results, use a clear, recent photo of your graduate facing the camera without sunglasses, hats, or heavy filters.
